Magnus
Oil on paper, 24 x 19 cm.
Magnus has an obvious beauty and captivates us with his intense gaze. However, he conceals himself behind a black tulle. It's not a sign of submission but seems more like he is reluctant to reveal himself, perhaps due to shame, fear of rejection, or concern about others' opinions. The image we project to the outside world is just a facade, while our insecurities, doubts, and inner monsters hide behind it.
In my opinion, modern society presents a dual facade: one based on our physical appearance and the other (more deceptive) manifested through social media platforms.
