For Alba Rando, born in Barcelona, the best gift she could have received as a child was a big box of paints. She loved to spend her afternoons painting and drawing with all her colorful crayons. Even though she tried other hobbies as she grew older, her passion for art never faded. She studied photography at the IEFC (Institute of Photographic Studies of Catalonia) and later got into screen printing, exploring other disciplines such as ceramics and jewellery. She finally found her groove in painting and illustration.

With her curious, observant and emotional nature, Alba uses art to immerse herself in the human experience, capturing intimate feelings, thoughts and inner dialogues. Through figurative art, she gives her characters a genuine personality and her works often reflect everyday situations and personal relationships. Whether oil paintings or illustrations in ink and watercolor, all her work is defined by careful attention to detail, deep sensitivity and a relentless pursuit of truth.
