Sorra i Sal
Solo Exhibition
The sea, a symbol of immensity and infinity, without walls, doors or paths. Without limits. Where does the sea end?
Transformation, movement, duality - it is calm and storm, nostalgia and joy, life and death. Like existence. Like us.
Sorra i Sal is an intimate and profound look at the sea and everything that happens around it. It's a journey through emotions, childhood memories and reflections; it speaks of friendship, loneliness, pleasure, of dreams both possible and impossible. Sorra i Sal dives into all this and swims with it.
Sorra i Sal is the point where the sea meets the land, where the emotional merges for a moment with the earthly. Perhaps this is where the sea ends?
Each work is accompanied by an extract from the book Oceano Mare by Alessandro Baricco (Rizzoli, 1993).
The series consists of 16 canvases: fifteen 27x35 cm. and one 70x50 cm.
